Even with her mighty engines in reverse, the ocean liner was pulled further and further into the canal. Detective Judy Jones was up on the case a month after the horrible murder and accident in Venice. Half of the 6,000 passengers were missing and 3,000 others were badly wounded. Freddy, the ocean liner’s driver, was interviewed 1 month after the crime. “It was so sudden. Nothing bad happened to me and the crew. We were in sudden shock when we heard an ear piercing scream. We didn’t know why the ocean liner was pulling us further into the canal. Then we went to look to see who screamed. When we arrived, I noticed it was my family with a piece of paper beside them. It was our last name crossed off; I guess the criminal doesn’t care about me.” “And exactly where did you see the paper.” Judy questioned. “Exactly next to my wife’s dead body and the gas pipe. It was down in the very bottom of the boat: the basement. Now wait a minute how old are you?” “Uh Uh, why do you care? I’m ten but that has nothing to do with it.” “You’re never going to help me find out this crime.” Freddy stated. Judy then offered Freddy a snack and then she told him to take her to the boat. “I will never go back to that deadly boat until someone solves this crime!” Freddy roared.
20 minutes later freddy was rushing around the boat trying to find the bodies. “They are gone! Now wait a minute, they were here last month!” Freddy screamed. While Freddy was screaming and yelling Judy Jones was sharp on the case murmuring and taking notes. “Uh Freddy, did you say the engine wasn’t working?” Judy asked nervously. “Um yeah why?” “ Oh that’s one sharp criminal but not too sharp for Detective Judy Jones!” Judy was happily dancing at the sight of a wrench. “ Judy” Freddy said “Why are you yawning and making funny noises?” “I’m not, I thought you were.”
“Well I’m stumped.” Judy said. “Why would any criminal take the dead bodies home with them or anywhere with them. Maybe they buried it so there was no evidence so—“I’m done we are going to every graveyard in this city and I’m finding those bodies! I want to know who did this crime!” “Yeah I want to know why anyone would do such a thing. Who was there at the scene of the crime you are suspecting?” “The mailman Alex Matoon. Oh I’ll tell ya he had a knife in his pocket. It was all scratched up and everything. I was so sure he did it.” Freddy cried. “And do you know where he lives?” Judy asked. “Indeed I do. He was my old business partner. Until— “until what?” Judy interrupted. “Well we weren’t quite finished our papers when Alex yelled “They should start to give us breaks. Here you take my papers, I’m taking a break wether they like it or not!” And me I was very angry. I was getting paid $45.00 every 100 papers! He was paid every paper for $45.00. I should of gotten the break or at least a raise. So I looked in the business directory and got his address. He got so mad at me.So allow me to lead you. Oh, and I almost forgot he has kept many secrets from me.”
“ I was happily on the boat opening my mail and—“Was it your mail?” Judy yelled. “Yes it was 100% my mail.” “Are you POSITIVE?” “Let me tell you a story from me on the ship. I was watching the movie they put on for us. But then I realized I had some unread mail. So I took out my letter opener—“Wait you said letter opener? Freddy that’s not a knife!” Judy said disappointedly. “But you didn’t let me finish. So I felt the need to get my anger towards Freddy out on one of the passangers AKA someone near to him. So I took out my letter opener and went down to the basement. I had heard his family was on the boat in the basement. So I decided why not get my anger out on them. I took my letter opener and—“And what?” Judy questioned. “I’d rather not say.” “Then you can go—To jail.” “Hey you better not tell me what to do little girl. I can’t belevie you think you’re a detective. Like you’ll even solve this crime.” It was just then that the police showed up with handcuffs and arrested him. “Hey I never said I did it!” Alex yelled as he was thrown into the car. “We still need evedince. Why’d you arrest him? He was valuble evedince. And I think he did it.” Freddy complained. While Freddy was complaining, Judy was looking at her notes someone was calling “Who did it? I did it! Come find me! The names—“Oh stop playing a trick on me Judy.” “I wasn’t playing a trick on you I was about to get the name of the criminal! I can’t belevie you! I thought you wanted to find the criminal.” “I do want to solve the crime but you played a trick on me.” “Wait did you say you found some sort of cream?.” “No but there was cream. In fact I kept the label. Here wanna see it?” “VANISHING CREAM! I didn’t know they made that stuff but I was proven wrong. Okay so I am going to order a search team to take a bottle of water and splash it around. It does say water remove-able… right?” Judy yelled aloud.
“Wait Wait, guys I think I found something! Are we looking for a mouse?” “No we aren’t Trevor, no we aren’t.” “Awwww but it’s a cute one! I ‘ll name it fuzzy and it’ll be my little fuzzy.” “NO . I was underconvered! I was doing such a good job!” “What’s your name son.” The squad said in unison. “It’s Jackie Cho and yes I commited they crime. Let My good crime partner go, Alex Matoon. I only did it because Freddy threatened me. He said if I didn’t pay him an extra fair he would have me killed! But go ahead arrest me.” Just then Judy Jones walked in. “I hate to do this to such a poor man but you can go—To jail. FOR LIFE!
